Appraisals

Phillips offers appraisals for estate and gift tax, charitable donation, insurance, estate and financial planning purposes. If necessary, preliminary evaluations can be made from photographs accompanied by detailed descriptions of each piece. We can then advise concerning the value of the property and suggest the best means for its formal appraisal or sale. If our clients are considering selling, we are pleased to provide auction estimates accompanied by a proposal for sale and a marketing plan to maximize the value of salable assets.

Trusts & Estates

Phillips' Trusts, Estates and Valuations Department works with private clients, lawyers, bankers, family offices and insurance brokers to assist in the sale and disposition of tangible personal property.

Our team will provide an appraisal for a single item through large multi-category collections for estate and gift tax, donation, financial planning, loan collateral and retail replacement for insurance purposes.

Museum Services

Phillips has developed strong relationships with the world’s most important museums and is committed to the preservation and continued success of museum and institutional collecting. We work with museums and non-profit institutions on deaccessions, acquisitions, appraisals, and sponsorships.
